As a wholly-owned subsidiary of MARA, DDEC will be in line with MARA's corporate Vision & Mission, namely: Pioneering entrepreneurship, education and investment to increase Bumiputera equity holdings.

DDEC's Creative Startup
DDEC was established through an original idea sparked by the honorable former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdullah Badawi and it was approved by the Cabinet which met on 22 November 2006, instructing the Ministry of Entrepreneurship & Cooperative Development (MeCD) through the Council of Trust for the People (MARA) to establish a National Design Center.
DDEC started operating on 14 November 2007 at their temporary office in the FITEC Building, located at KM 13, Jalan Batu Caves, 68100 Kuala Lumpur and in February 2008, DDEC moved and operated at their current office, No. 22, Jalan Kia Peng 50450, Kuala Lumpur. The launch of the establishment and operation was arranged on 23 March 2009 by the Minister of MeCD.
Vision, Mission & Mandate
DDEC is determined to be the premier design one-stop center in Malaysia. In addition, DDEC is committed to helping Malaysian entrepreneurs to be able to compete in the local and international markets. By using the appropriate skilled manpower, DDEC is able to produce creative services that achieve the goals of entrepreneurs. We also always establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders so that we can help other sectors. Therefore, DDEC is not limited to helping entrepreneurs alone, in fact we constantly monitor the effectiveness of our programs and achievements so that DDEC always provides the best for our customers.
